The Avnery family recently presented a Torah scroll as a gift to ZM in memory of their beloved Renana. A festive ceremony held at the ZM Day Center in Jerusalem celebrated in traditional manner the donation of this sacred scroll.
The Torah scroll will be used by cancer-stricken children at ZM activities and events. This petite "Sefer Torah" will travel with the ZM children when they go on outings and camps in Israel and overseas.
The scroll will also be used every Shabbat and festival, when the dining
hall of the ZM Day Center in Jerusalem is transformed into a neighborhood
synagogue.
