|Melave Malka Events|
After a boring and lonely Shabbos spent in the hospital, there is no better time than Motza'ei Shabbos for parents and children to enjoy some healthy fun and excitement.
Chaim and Miri Ehrental learned first-hand how difficult it is to spend Shabbos in the hospital, away from loving family; and, in contrast, how a special Motzaei Shabbos can boost the entire upcoming week.
During Menachem’s illness, the Ehrentals made every Motzaei Shabbos a special family event. They invited professional singers, friends, and yeshiva bachurim to join them at a gala Motzaei Shabbos Melave Malka, where they drew the entire family and assorted guests into a fantastic hour of singing and dancing. These treasured moments allowed Menachem and the entire family to forget the pain and worries, and replace them with joy and elation.
Thus, it was only natural that weekly Motzaei Shabbos Melave Malka Events were one of Zichron Menachem’s top priorities!
Every Motzaei Shabbos, groups of volunteers and yeshiva bachurim visit Children Wards in Israeli hospitals. The Melave Malka takes place in the hospital Recreational Center and welcomes pediatric cancer patients and their families. Our volunteers sing, dance, and infuse joy, excitement, and spirit into the new week.
When a family or patient is going through rough period and needs that extra boost of happiness and joyous spirit, Zichron Menachem volunteers visit the patient’s home or meet in the Zichron Menachem Center Music Room for an animated evening of song and dance, in accordance with the needs of the patient and family. These special events have worked wonders in the lives of hundreds of patients who expressed that the joy, delight, and hope that such gatherings create infused them with life and spirit.
